VACUUM-PACKED DELIVERY & DECOMPRESSION

To keep delivery costs down and make shipping our large bean bags and other products practical, many of our products are vacuum-packed before dispatch. This significantly reduces the size of your parcel and allows us to offer free delivery.

Because foam chips can decompress at different rates, we deliberately overfill our bean bags before vacuum packing. This is necessary because, in some cases, not all of the foam will fully decompress after unpacking. Overfilling helps ensure that your bean bag has the correct fullness and comfort once it has had time to expand.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOUR BEAN BAG ARRIVES

Once you receive your vacuum-packed bean bag:

  1. Carefully remove all outer packaging and allow the bean bag to decompress naturally.

  2. Give the foam 3–5 days to expand fully. We recommend allowing up to 7 days before assessing the final fullness and firmness of your bean bag.

IF YOUR BEAN BAG FEELS TOO FULL

Because we need to account for foam that may not fully decompress, your bean bag may occasionally end up feeling firmer or more generously filled than you prefer.

If, after 7 days of decompression, your bean bag still feels overstuffed, you can simply remove some of the foam through the zip opening in the inner and/or bean bag cover. We recommend storing the excess foam in a sealed bag somewhere safe, as you may wish to add it back at a later stage.

You are also welcome to dispose of any excess foam if you prefer.

 

IF YOUR BEAN BAG NEEDS MORE FOAM

Occasionally, not all of the foam chips will fully decompress, which may result in your bean bag feeling softer or less full than expected.

If this is the case, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and let us know. We will happily send you additional foam at no charge.

Adding the additional foam is a straightforward process and can be done through the zip opening in your bean bag. As our products are specifically packed for economical courier delivery, we do not send staff to add foam or replace a bean bag where additional foam is required.

 

WHY DO WE DO IT THIS WAY?

Vacuum packing allows us to dramatically reduce the size of our parcels, making it possible for us to offer free delivery on our large products. It also means that you have the flexibility to adjust the amount of foam in your bean bag to suit your personal preference.
